Billing & Subscriptions

SpeakNode uses a subscription-based billing model with usage-based pricing for voice minutes. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Viewing Your Current Plan

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. Your current plan is displayed at the top of the page, showing:
    • Plan Name: The name of your active subscription.
    • Included Minutes: The number of voice minutes included in your plan per billing period.
    • Price: The monthly or annual cost.

Usage

The billing page shows your current usage for the billing period:

  • Voice Minutes Used: The total minutes consumed across all conversations (inbound, outbound, and widget sessions).
  • Minutes Remaining: How many included minutes are left before overage billing begins.
  • Usage Breakdown: A chart or table showing usage over time.

Note

Usage resets at the start of each billing period. Unused minutes do not roll over.

Changing Your Plan

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. Click Change Plan.
  3. Review the available plans and their features.
  4. Select the plan you want to switch to.
  5. Confirm the change.

Note

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.

Invoices

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. Scroll down to the Invoices section.
  3. View past invoices with dates, amounts, and status (paid, pending).
  4. Click on any invoice to download a PDF.

Payment Method

SpeakNode uses Stripe for payment processing.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Billing.
  2. In the Payment Method section, click Update to add or change your credit card.
  3. You will be redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page.
  4. Enter your card details and confirm.

Tip

Stripe supports all major credit and debit cards. Your card details are never stored on SpeakNode servers.

Overage Billing

If you exceed your plan's included voice minutes, additional minutes are billed at the overage rate specified in your plan.

  • Overage charges are calculated at the end of the billing period.
  • They appear as a separate line item on your invoice.
  • You will receive an email notification when you reach 80% and 100% of your included minutes.

Warning

If you frequently exceed your included minutes, consider upgrading to a higher plan to get a better per-minute rate.
